A. Proposed Website Platform (CMS) & Slow-Connection Optimization
- Easy-to-Use CMS (WordPress + Visual Staff Dashboard): Built on WordPress 6.x CMS (matching our custom PWHE design in the live cPanel prototype) so designated PWHE staff can easily publish news stories, upload PDF reports, post careers/tenders, and update gallery photos without coding.
- All 10 Mandatory Pages: Home; About Us; Our Programmes; Where We Work (Isiolo, Marsabit, Samburu & Garissa); News and Stories; Publications; Partners; Careers and Tenders; Gallery; and Contact Us (with departmental routing form & social media links).
- Engineered for Slow Internet Connections: Uses cPanel LiteSpeed/GZIP compression, automatic WebP image optimization, and our signature ASAL Slow-Connection Lite Mode so community members and field officers in Isiolo, Marsabit, Samburu, and Garissa experience fast page loads even on 2G/3G connections.
- SSL Security, Backups & SEO: Auto-renewing Let’s Encrypt SSL (HTTPS), Wordfence firewall, automated daily/weekly cPanel JetBackups, and structured on-page SEO.
B. Domain Registration (.or.ke) & 12-Month cPanel Web Hosting Package
- Official Domain: Registration of
pwhe.or.kefor 12 months via a KENIC-accredited registrar, registered 100% in PWHE’s official name. - cPanel Hosting Package: 50 GB NVMe SSD Enterprise cPanel Web & Email Hosting for the first 12 months (99.9% uptime SLA, unlimited bandwidth, free SSL, and automated backups).
C. Cost-Effective Official Staff Email Solution (16 Staff + Shared Mailboxes + 2FA)
- All 16 Current Staff + Room to Add More: Setup of
firstname.lastname@pwhe.or.kefor all 16 current staff (with room to add up to 50+ additional staff accounts later at zero extra cost), plus shared addresses:info@pwhe.or.ke,finance@pwhe.or.ke,programmes@pwhe.or.ke, andprocurement@pwhe.or.ke. - Zero Yearly Per-User Email Fee: Email hosting is included in the cPanel web hosting package with generous storage (5 GB–10 GB per mailbox) and Roundcube Webmail access (
webmail.pwhe.or.ke). Yearly extra email cost is KES 0 (covered entirely under the annual hosting renewal stated in Section 5). - Setup on Staff Computers & Phones + Two-Step Verification (2FA): Hands-on setup across all staff computers (Outlook/Thunderbird/Webmail) and phones (Android/iOS) with strong password enforcement, Two-Step Verification (2FA), and SPF/DKIM/DMARC protection.
